CORAL GABLES, Florida – Cosentino Group ended 2023 with an income of $1.7 billion according to its year-end report. The company also invested more than $121 million in expansion, product innovation and the creation of 188 jobs. Investments were made in its global logistics network and digital transformation. Job creation brought the total of Cosentino employees worldwide to more than 6,000 for the first time. The company’s sales continue to come mostly from international markets. The United States and Canada accounted for 57% of 2023 income.
QUÉBEC CITY – Patrick Perus, longtime CEO of the world’s largest natural stone producer, announced his retirement from Polycor Group Jan. 8. Perus became president of Polycor in 2003 as it acquired Georgia Marble Co. He led the expansion of the company, acquiring Indiana Limestone Co., Rock of Ages, Swenson Granite, and ROCAMAT. Polycor currently operates more than 80 quarries. Brian McManus, a Polycor board member since 2022, will be the new CEO, with Anthony Pagano assuming the role of president.
