QUEBEC CITY – North America’s largest stone quarrier and supplier, Polycor Inc., expands its portfolio of natural-stone products with the purchase of North Carolina Granite Corporation (NCGC). Founded in 1889, Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Quartz surfaces manufacturer Caesarstone acquired U.S. stone supplier Omicron Granite & Tile in a deal valued at $27 million. Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Omicron owns and operates 17 showrooms and indoor warehouses across the Southeast and Ohio Valley regions.

SEOUL, South Korea – Lotte Chemical began operating a third production line in January at its Belenco quartz-surfaces plant in Turkey, bringing the plant’s three lines to a total capacity of 350,000 slabs. The Belenco plant is located near Manisa, Turkey.
