What's Next for Waterjet?
A quick look at new technology.
The Robolution Pro is designed for cutting miters with a saw blade and with the waterjet. It can handle everything from inside corner miters to complex arcs across a variety of materials including quartzite ultra-compact slabs and porcelain. The system can even handle variations on material thickness or warpage. While efficiently nesting pieces, it allows shops to save on materials and reduce installation costs.
Although it has the largest cutting table in the industry, the Robolution Pro can be upgraded to a second cutting table. And, with the ability to buy the machine as a single table unit for a smaller fabricator, it can be upgraded to a second table without having to purchase another machine. This decreases the initial total capital equipment purchase while ultimately reducing the cost of fabrication.

The Combi sawjet is a monoblock 5-axis stone cutting machine that combines saw and waterjet to perform a variety of functions, including cutting ultra-thin slabs, while minimizing waste. The saw and waterjet are equipped on the same spindle and will only function one-at-a-time, depending on which operation is best for a particular project. Breton Touch software will automatically suggest best cutting trajectories for optimum slab usage. The Combi also comes with MiterWave hardware/software package for execution of 45° cuts on slabs that are not flat.

The Raptor is a five-axis CNC saw and waterjet specifically designed for sawing miters. The sawjet comes with a 20hp motor and a 16” blade for cutting marble, granite and limestone. Additionally, it is equipped with an abrasive waterjet head powered by a 60,000 psi intensifier pump ideal for cutting quartz and porcelain products such as Dekton®. The sawjet automatically switches between the saw and the waterjet as conditions demand and blends the two cuts through an easy to follow routine.

Nesting parts, radius cuts, and inside corner cuts have become even faster, but what truly separates Park's SABERjet™ XP from other sawjets is its MiterJet capabilities for inside mitered cuts. The SABERjet XP takes a leap forward in productivity with the 27hp arbor motor and faster, more precise waterjet systems. The XP also comes standard with an automated programming specifically designed to cut ultra-compact, quartzite, and porcelain materials. The small footprint, single-pick, monoblock design of the SABERjet XP CNC sawjet is ideal. True unitized design with no bolt-on extensions resulting in extreme rigidity. The compact sawjet design requires minimal floor space and works well with low ceiling heights – only 11 feet tall with a no whip waterjet design. In addition, Park Industries has partnered with world leaders to provide the OPTIMUS™. The 3.4 meter robotic arm can cover the entire table with the blade and is capable of bi-directional sawing, resulting in higher productivity. Bi-directional sawing capability of the OPTIMUS is critically important when cutting quartz material as relief cuts are needed from the outside of the slab.
