2020 Pinnacle Awards
In a Year of Uncertainty, Natural Stone Still Stands Strong
2020 wreaked havoc with plenty of annual traditions, but one of the industry’s gems – the Pinnacle Awards – kept pace despite the pandemic.
The Natural Stone Institute’s honoring of the top work in natural stone continued through the year of COVID-19, albeit with a few alterations. What hasn’t changed, however, is the quality and craft of the winning entries.
The Pinnacle Awards are given to projects whose beauty, creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship exemplify professional mastery in the use of natural stone in commercial and residential applications.
The competition is open to all institute members and the design community, and project teams must include at least one institute member.
A jury of industry professionals and design-community members reviewed each project based on excellence in implementation of design; quality craftsmanship; innovative solutions to unique challenges; and control of stone material, tone, and character quality.
Award sponsors are GranQuartz (residential), MAPEI (commercial), and Coldspring (Renovation/Restoration).
The Grande Pinnacle Award, saluting the best work among the winners, will be announced at The International Surface Event (TISE) in June in Las Vegas. The Grande Pinnacle is sponsored by Marmomacc.
Entries for the 2021 Pinnacle Awards competition are being accepted until July 20. To learn more, go to https://www.naturalstoneinstitute.org/programs/awards/pinnacle-awards/
