King explains that the clients were looking for both a pool and plenty of entertaining space in a backyard with grade changes that needed to be addressed.

Another project honored in the category of Combination of Hardscape Products – Residential – less than 4,000 ft² comes from Holloway Company of Sterling, Va., and owner/designer Ted Tidmore.
In this case, a natural stone called Stoney Point provided by Old World Stone of Germantown, Md., is the star of the show. It was utilized to provide a matching look to the walls, kitchen and deck. The patio flooring is a man-made product.
