BOLOGNA, Italy -- With emerging designs, trends and patterns, the 39th edition of Cersaie 2022 presented many upcoming tile products to dazzle members of the design, architectural, retail and distribution sectors in attendance. Reimagined concepts and innovative solutions to upcoming projects were met with mind-blowing discoveries – thanks to the 354 tile-exhibiting companies, who combined art, technology, functionality, and design with dynamic results. The boundless creativity and versatility of the presented products further cements tile’s impact not only as a surface, but also as one offering personality and adaptiveness to the various needs of individual environments. “Ceramic products continue to increase their share of international markets thanks to their intrinsic characteristics such as healthiness, hygiene, and durability,” said Giovanni Savorani, chairman of Confindustria Ceramica. “The Italian ceramic industry’s commitment to sustainability was the common thread running through the entire show.” Clearly, Italian and Spanish tile manufacturers keep their eyes and ears open on what designers and architects are seeking when specifying for their clientele’s projects. Perfectly on trend with natural talc, sand, and vibrant Mediterranean colors – such as blues, reds, and earthy shades – the following new ceramic and porcelain tile collections met and exceeded any preconceived notions of repetitive, boring, and out-of-touch designs. From large-format tile panels/slabs, to undulated surfaces, to gleaming glazes, there was something to please everyone’s design palette.
