SFA: What's the Answer?
Hand-Cutting a Curve with Dekton®
Ozzkr Ozzkr
Is there an easier and faster way to cut these on Dekton? All hand fab, no fancy machinery here.
Bill Cruikshank
A curved blade could drop that in less than 10 mins.
Chris Hildebrand
I don’t think they make one for Dekton yet.
Bill Cruikshank
If you stay 1/4” from the finished line and then use a Dekton diamond-brazed drum, all should be good.
Forrest Scott
I think that is the best, safest way. That being said, the Neolith people told me once that they could use a curved blade electroplated to cut them. I never tried, sounded dangerous.
Ryan Johnston
Yeah let a machine do it,

Buy a Makita. Curved blade, but make sure you practice.
Keith Griswold
Our guys use electroplated contour blades and clean up with drums. Make sure it’s supported so the cutout can’t drop until it’s cut all the way. Keep it wet and it should be fine. Take your time and don’t let anything get in a bind or it can turn ugly.

Pack a bag and settle in. Gonna be a long one.
Blake Hogburn
Buy a waterjet. Flow mach200 should sort you out. Good luck bro. I remember those days. Take your time and use loads of water.
Hector El Guero Martinez
Come on homie that's. A piece of cake.

Find someone around you that has a WJ and sub it out!
Vince Callanan
This is the best bit of advice on here. All that time and risk when you can just absorb the cost of subbing it out in the final price!
Phil Reilly
Work smarter not harder right?!?
Alex Erd
Grinder. I cut them out in the driveway all the time with Dekton. Just tape it and rip it. Take us 10 min to cut that out. Don’t drill anymore holes.
Stephen Albert
Nothing easy or fast about Dekton .

Next time charge double or just don’t take it.
